Two classes could soon be in trouble in World of Warcraft. Because they were far too strong in the current raid.

In World of Warcraft, the race for the World First Kill of Chrome King Gallywix ended a few days ago. After Team Liquid, Echo and Method have now also been able to defeat the final boss. But after the good mood comes the trembling of some classes. This is because the pros have made increased use of some specializations – and this is a clear indication that strong nerfs could soon be on the horizon. Monks and mages in particular are now trembling.

Which classes are affected?

If you look at the kills of the major professional guilds, you will notice that some specializations are particularly common. For healers, these are the Mistweaver monks, while for DPS characters, Windrunner Monks and Fire Mages were extremely present. This has also been noticed by the community, which is already making fun of the fact that these specializations are sure to get quite big nerfs with one of the next maintenance dates.

What indicates the strength?

The fact that these classes have left most of the others behind could be seen above all in the fact that the professional guilds packed a particularly large number of the corresponding specializations. Team Liquid, the winners of the “World First Race”, had 2 Mistweaver Monks as healers, 3 Windrunner Monks as melee fighters and even 4 Fire Mages as ranged fighters. So almost half of the raid consisted of only 3 specializations – even though there are 36 of them in World of Warcraft.

With Echo and Method, who have also defeated Gallywix in the meantime, it looked very similar in the end (via raider.io).

Are there nerfs coming now?

In the past, Blizzard has brought nerfs quite quickly after the end of the “World First” race, and that could be the case again this time. But even in the recent past, Blizzard tended to give the other classes a little boost instead of weakening the best classes. Only in the case of very massive outliers does there come to downward adjustments.

However, the community is having a great time with the current situation and the memes. And Windrunner monks in particular are now a little worried, because a while ago it literally looked like monks were dying out – if a hard nerf hits them now, it could soon be the case again.
