There’s a lot to do in Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft. To prepare you for the new season, you should really get down to business this week.

Finally, the first, really big content update of World of Warcraft: The War Within is live. With Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt, there is a new area, the capital of the goblins with all the “goblin madness” that goes with it.

All the new features can be a bit overwhelming and confusing. We therefore list what you should do this week so that you don’t miss the boat and can start right away in Season 2 next week.

The most important things in brief: You should complete the following tasks in week 1 to be perfectly prepared:

  • Accept Meta Quest in Dornogal
  • Complete the Lorenhall Introductory Questline
  • Choosing a Goblin Cartel for this week
  • Complete all Cartel Tasks for this week
  • Complete all side quests in Lorenhall
  • Upgrade Circe’s Hoop (if not already done)

Patch 11.1 – The Tasks in Week 1

The first week of a patch is usually still quite quiet and is especially suitable for watching the story and completing quests. This is also the case with patch 11.1.

Before you accept the new quests, however, you should accept the new meta-quest in Dornogal, which requires you to complete some tasks in Lorenhall. The reward is only average, but if you are in Lorenhall anyway, you can complete it directly.

After that, you simply follow the main quest line until you get the option to support one of four Goblin Cartels. This can take a while, because the road to Lorenhall begins in the Resounding Depths – the story only leads to Lorenhall in the course of the missions. The choice of cartel is tied to the respective week and applies to your entire account. We have listed the advantages of the different Goblin Cartels here.

After that, you can basically work through the “whole map” – i.e. defeat all quests, world quests, events and rare enemies you encounter.

If you still have time and leisure, take on the weekly dungeon quest in Dornogal. This is where you get reputation for the Goblin Cartels of Lorenhall when you complete it. Not a must, but a nice bonus of 1,500 reputation points!

Upgrading Circe’s Hoop – Old Content

If you’ve been actively playing in the last few weeks, then you’ve probably already ticked off this point. Because for the start of Season 2, “Circe’s Hoop”, the artifact ring from Siren Island, will still be the best ring you can get. It gives you a strong boost at the start of the season and should therefore be worn by every character.

You unlock Circe’s Bond when you complete the story on Siren Island. You can get the upgrades through the other quests or as drops from rare enemies. There is no longer any “time gating” there, so you should have maxed out the ring quite quickly.

The vast majority of activities of Season 2, i.e. the new dungeons and also the raid, will not start until next week. However, if you have completed all tasks by then, you can concentrate solely on the group activities in the coming week and start directly in Season 2. However, you should also read through the changes to your class. Buy WOW Gold now to ensure you’re fully prepared for the challenges ahead!
