Event Overview
To participate in the Feast of the Departed Warriors, you must be at least Adventure Rank 30 and have completed the Archon Quest “Song of the Dragon and Freedom.” The event takes place in Falcon Coast and can be directly teleported to. Once inside, you will see a selection of bosses to fight on the left side of the screen. At the moment, there are two available bosses: Descaling: Thundering Grief and Piety: Calamity of Blazing Steel. On the right side of the screen, you will find your previous record, best time, and the rewards you can earn. You can also adjust the difficulty level and enemy’s stats on the bottom right corner.
Here are the difficulty levels and corresponding stats:
- Easy: x1 multiplier, level 40
- Normal: x1.5 multiplier, level 70
- Hard: x2.5 multiplier, level 90
- Expert: x5 multiplier, level 100
In addition to adjusting the difficulty, you can also choose to boost the enemy’s stats for more points. The general characteristics you can adjust are Target Time, Max HP Increase, ATK Increase, 3 variable element RES increase, and 3 attack enhancements. The more challenging you make the fights, the higher the points you can earn. Make sure to come fully prepared for these battles!
Before entering the boss fights, you can choose three buffs to help you. Additionally, you have the option to team up with a friend for extra support. Keep in mind that you and your friend will be limited to two characters each, but the potential DPS doubles.
Descaling: Thundering Grief
The boss of this fight is the Crackling Thunder Manifestation. While it may appear normal, it has variations of its usual attacks. Here are some key things to keep in mind while fighting this boss:
- It has a new close-range method of locking onto you after releasing probes. If you get hit, you’ll get locked on and it’ll become enraged.
- It uses a variety of attacks, such as Slicing Storm, Walls of Lightning, and Furious Thunderbolts.
- Getting hit by certain attacks will enrage the boss and change its move set.
Tips
Here are some tips to help you in the Descaling: Thundering Grief boss fight:
- Focus on dodging its attacks, as some of them can be difficult to avoid.
- Consider giving the boss elemental RES for Pyro, Cryo, and Dendro, or use a Geo or Anemo DPS character to overcome its immunity to Electro.
- Homing attacks, like Tighnari’s fully charged aimed shots and Burst, work well against this boss. Characters like Ganyu or Ganyu’s charged shots can be highly effective.
Piety: Calamity of Blazing Steel
In this boss fight, you’ll be facing the Aeonblight Drake. It has a shield and gains elemental RES when it takes to the air. Here are some important things to note:
- The Aeonblight Drake periodically gains elemental resistance based on the type of damage it receives. It also uses bombardment attacks from above.
- When it absorbs elements, it can have various effects during its bombardment attacks. For example, Hydro leaves behind damaging puddles.
Tips
Follow these tips to successfully defeat Piety: Calamity of Blazing Steel:
- Bring an archer character to snipe the exposed cores and destroy the shield. Characters like Tartaglia (Childe), Yoimiya, Ganyu, or Fischl are great choices.
- Consider bringing two characters with different elements to always have one that deals more damage, regardless of the Drake’s absorbed element.
- Avoid its attacks while aiming at the cores. Archer characters and steady aim are essential in this fight.
Shadow: Twined Dragonheirs
The Coral Defenders are the bosses you’ll face in this fight. You must defeat one as soon as you beat the other, or else the defeated boss will revive and the remaining boss will become enraged. Here are some important details about this fight:
- A Geo pillar will spawn at a specific point during the battle, and the Vishap Herd will climb up it and unleash powerful attacks. Destroying the pillar will make them vulnerable for a short period of time.
- The Coral Defenders have various combination attacks, including a sweeping beam, a combination of Cryo and Electro attacks, and projectiles aimed at your position.
Additional Tips
Keep these tips in mind for the Shadow: Twined Dragonheirs boss fight:
- Consider using Geo or Anemo characters instead of Cryo or Electro characters. Gorou is an excellent support choice for Geo, while Faruzan works well for Anemo.
- Use Geo or Claymore users to destroy the pillar that appears in the arena, as it provides a moment of vulnerability for the bosses.
- Try to keep the bosses’ HP near each other to avoid having to catch up with defeating the remaining boss and prolonging the battle.
- Be mindful of your characters’ Energy, as the ‘Cleansing Shower’ attack can deplete it or decrease HP if there is not enough Energy.
Three-Realm Banquet of Stillness
In this final boss fight, you will face three bosses consecutively. You must set up a party of eight characters before starting the fight. After defeating one boss, you can choose to change your party or continue with the remaining bosses. Here are some key points to consider:
- Make sure to bring characters who can chase down the Crackling Thunder Manifestation, shoot the weak points of the Aeonblight Drake, and defeat both Bathysmal Vishaps consecutively.
- Food items can be used during this event, and you can revive characters in mid-combat with a cooldown period in between revivals. Asking for help through co-op is also an option.
Remember, you don’t need to have meta characters for this event. Ensuring that your characters are well-built and serviceable is sufficient.
