Requirements for Getting Manderville Relic Weapon
The journey to obtaining a Manderville Relic Weapon in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker isn’t a short one. Several prerequisites must be met before you can even begin. These weapons are designed as an endgame goal, ensuring players have explored a significant portion of the game’s content.
First and foremost, you must have completed the Main Scenario Quest (MSQ) for the Endwalker expansion. This means seeing the story all the way through its conclusion. Additionally, you need to have completed all previous Hildibrand Manderville questlines, starting from “The Rise and Fall of Gentlemen” in A Realm Reborn, and progressing through Heavensward, Stormblood and Endwalker.
Essentially, you need to have kept up with Hildibrand’s adventures throughout the entire game. The final step is reaching level 90 with the job for which you want to acquire the weapon. Once you meet these criteria, you will be ready to start the Endwalker Manderville weapon quests.
How to Get Manderville Weapons
Acquiring your very own Manderville Weapon starts with a quest in Radz-at-Han. Begin by swapping to the job you want the weapon for. Locate the House Manderville Manservant in Radz-at-Han and accept the quest “Make It a Manderville”.
This quest tasks you with obtaining three Manderium Meteorites. You can find Jubrunnah near the main Aetheryte in Radz-at-Han. Speak to her and exchange Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy for the required Manderium Meteorites (each costs 500 Tomestones). This means you will need a total of 1,500 Tomestones for your first weapon.
After obtaining the Meteorites, seek out the legendary blacksmith Gerolt, also located in Radz-at-Han. Turning in the Meteorites to him will reward you with the base Manderville Relic Weapon for your chosen job. Additional weapons for other jobs can be obtained in the same way by talking to the House Manderville Artisan near Gerolt.
How to Upgrade the Manderville Weapons
After obtaining the initial Manderville Relic Weapon, you’ll likely want to upgrade it to its enhanced form. This upgrade was introduced in patch 6.35 and provides a visually distinct, glowing version of the weapon.
To begin the upgrade process, you first need to complete the quest “The Spectacle of Inspection” and “Generational Bonding.” The main upgrade quest is called “Well-oiled.” You can accept this quest by speaking to Gerolt while equipped with the Manderville weapon you wish to enhance.
This time, Gerolt will require three Complementary Chondrites. Once again, head over to Jubrunnah in Radz-at-Han, and exchange Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy for the required items. Each Complementary Chondrite will cost 500 Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy, totaling 1,500 Tomestones for the upgrade.
With the Complementary Chondrites in hand, return to Gerolt and turn them in to complete the upgrade, receiving your enhanced Manderville Relic Weapon.
About Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy
Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy serve as the primary currency for obtaining and upgrading Manderville Relic Weapons. You’ll need a substantial amount, as each weapon requires 1,500 Tomestones for the initial acquisition and another 1,500 for the upgrade. This makes a total of 3,000 Tomestones per weapon.
These Tomestones only become available once you reach level 90 with at least one combat job. This ensures that only players engaged in endgame content can acquire them.
A player can hold a maximum of 2,000 Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy at any given time, so be mindful of your inventory when farming them. Various endgame activities award these Tomestones, including daily roulettes, alliance raids, and weekly duties.
Farming them can be time consuming, but the resulting powerful and stylish relic weapons are worth the effort.
