Dragon's Dogma 2: Item Crafting Guide

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Item Forgery Guide

Where to Create Forgeries

Forge your own counterfeit quest items at Ibrahim’s Scrap Shop, located within Checkpoint Rest Town. To find it, start at the town entrance and take the second alley on the left, then turn right. The shop is on your right.

Ibrahim’s Scrap Shop Services

Ibrahim’s shop isn’t just for creating forgeries. It’s also a hub for recovering lost or accidentally sold quest items. Here, you can retrieve any lost items, often at their original, discounted price.

The Purpose of Forging

Some quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 require specific items that are either costly or challenging to obtain. Forging allows you to fulfill multiple quests by providing copies of rare items. However, not all NPCs are fooled by these duplicates, so knowledge of the correct NPC is critical for success and rewards. Mistakes could result in quest failure.

What Items Can Be Forged?

The forge is not limitless. You cannot forge consumables, weapons, or armor. However, it can create duplicates of many quest items. Keep in mind, forgeries are intentionally misspelled. Double-check item names to avoid mistakes when turning them in.

Quest Guide for Turning in Forgeries

Hunt For the Jadeite Orb

To complete this quest, you need the Jadeite Orb. Buy the real one from Ibrahim. Forge it immediately. Speak to Offulve, who will offer to purchase it. Retrieve the forgery from Ibrahim. Give the real Orb to Everard, and the forged one to Offulve. You’ll earn 15,000 gold, a Ring of Skullduggery, and an Elite Camping set.

Spellbound and Sorcerors’s Appraisal

Trysha and Myrddin’s quests require several magical tomes. Forge duplicates of these tomes (Fulminous Shield, Howling Blizzard, Nation’s Death Knell, Towering Earth, and Let There Be Light) and give the fakes to Myrddin first for a significant reward. Then, return to Trysha and complete the quest with the real tomes.

  • Fulminous Shield: Obtain from Melve.
  • Towering Earth: Find in the Vernworth Dungeon.
  • Howling Blizzard and Nation’s Death Knell: Locate within the Waterfall Cave.
  • Let There Be Light: Acquire from Myrddin’s manor.

Myrddin’s reward will include 11,000 gold, the Ares Morpho robe, and the Maelstrom scroll. Completing Trysha’s portion of the quest will grant you the Meteoron and Celestial Paean spells.

Additional Forgery Quests:

Other quests like “Short Sighted Ambition” and “The Caged Magistrate” also involve forging items and carefully considering which NPCs receive the forgeries. Research the specific requirements for each of these quests before proceeding to avoid costly mistakes.
