All Doom: The Dark Ages Wraithstone Locations
In Doom: The Dark Ages, Wraithstones represent the ultimate upgrade resource for your arsenal. These powerful stones unlock significant weapon enhancements, from boosting the Combat Shotgun’s pellet count to enabling instant Chainshot charge on a successful parry, and even granting the Accelerator its devastating Overload mode. Scattered throughout the game’s chapters, finding these Wraithstones is crucial for maximizing your combat potential. This guide will provide detailed instructions on where to find each Wraithstone, ensuring you can dominate the demonic hordes.
Chapter 9 Wraithstone
In this chapter, the Wraithstone is contained within a locked shrine, guarded by imposing wolf statues. To unlock it, you’ll need to locate and destroy three hidden wolf statues using your Shield Throw ability. Here’s where to find them:
- Statue 1: Situated to the right of the shrine, overlooking the area.
- Statue 2: Inside a Secret Key room, also on the right side of the map, near the beginning.
- Statue 3: Located on the far left side of the map, perched above the gorge, keeping watch.
Destroy all three statues to lower the barrier protecting the Wraithstone.
Chapter 10 Wraithstone
This Wraithstone is tied to the main progression of the level. As you advance, you’ll be tasked with finding an Atlan battery. Once you successfully retrieve the battery and place it in its designated location, a Wraithstone shrine will unlock within the arena you’re fighting in. Simply approach the shrine to claim your Wraithstone and enhance your weaponry.
This makes it one of the easier Wraithstones to obtain, as it’s directly linked to the core objective of the chapter.
Chapter 12 Wraithstone
Securing this Wraithstone requires a detour to the Sentinel Base to acquire a Secret Key. Once you have the key, locate the corresponding locked door. Be prepared for a challenging fight, as upon opening the door, you’ll face an Agaddon Hunter boss. Only by defeating this formidable enemy will the Wraithstone shrine unlock, allowing you to claim its powerful reward.
Prepare yourself for a tough battle before attempting to obtain this Wraithstone!
Chapter 14 Wraithstones
Chapter 14 offers not one, but two Wraithstones! The first requires some aerial exploration:
- Wraithstone 1: During the dragon riding segment, instead of immediately pursuing the objective, fly straight towards the mountain situated near the waterfalls. Eliminate the large demon guarding the area with your dragon’s attacks, then dismount and approach the shrine. Defeat the spawning horde of enemies to unlock the shrine.
The second requires some cunning navigation:
- Wraithstone 2: Continue with the dragon section until you reach a landing zone. Instead of landing, fly through the archway on the left leading underground. Navigate the tunnel until you find another hidden landing zone. Dismount and enter the blue portal at the end of the room. Prepare for another wave of enemies before claiming the Wraithstone at the arena’s end, along with a bonus weapon skin.
Chapter 15 Wraithstone
This Wraithstone is remarkably straightforward to find. It’s located right next to the final objective you need to interact with to complete the mission. As you approach the end of the level, keep an eye out for the shrine. It’s hard to miss, making it one of the easiest Wraithstones to acquire in the entire game. There are no puzzles or enemies to defeat, simply claim it as your reward for completing the level!
Chapter 16 Wraithstone
This Wraithstone presents a more intricate challenge. To unlock the shrine containing it, you must locate and activate five distinct wolf statues scattered throughout the chapter. The exact locations of these statues are not always obvious, requiring thorough exploration of the environment. Be prepared to search high and low, as some of the statues may be hidden in obscure or hard-to-reach locations.
Careful observation and a keen eye will be essential in finding them all.
Chapter 17 Wraithstone
As you approach the temple entrance near the end of the mission, search for a structure containing blue barricades. Use your Shield Charge to break through these barricades, revealing a maze-like interior. Navigate the maze carefully, as it will eventually lead you to an encounter with a horde of menacing Hell Knights. After surviving this brutal fight, the floor will collapse, dropping you near a final breakable wall. Destroy this wall to uncover the hidden Wraithstone shrine.
Chapter 19 Wraithstone
Prior to collecting the red skull, ascend the circular tower. Instead of heading straight for the skull, look to the right of the stairs and spot a blue gear. Throw your shield at this gear, then quickly jump onto the stone platform to your left. The gear’s activation will cause the platform to rise, transporting you directly to the Wraithstone shrine. Be quick, or you’ll miss your chance.
Timing and precision are key to securing this Wraithstone.
Chapter 20 Wraithstone
Similar to Chapters 9 and 16, this Wraithstone requires you to locate and activate four unique wolf statues hidden throughout the level. Unlike the previous instances, these statues may require more complex interactions to activate. Be prepared to solve environmental puzzles or complete mini-challenges to reveal and activate each statue. The shrine will unlock only after all four statues are successfully activated.
Consider this a more challenging version of previous wolf statue hunts.
Chapter 22 Wraithstone
Before proceeding to the final Sentinel Shrine to complete the game, take a detour and locate a Secret Key near the gate. Once you have the key, search for one of the Secret Key doors within the level. Behind this door lies a Wraithstone shrine, providing one last opportunity to enhance your weapons before the final confrontation. This Wraithstone rewards exploration and encourages players to thoroughly search every nook and cranny of the level.
