The Dragon Scales system introduces a layer of build decision-making that is unique to Season 1. Because Scales occupy the same equipment slots as Dofus, players must make meaningful choices about whether to equip a Perfect Scale for consistent bonuses or pursue a Cracked Scale for a higher ceiling that comes with a penalty.

Perfect Scales obtained through Logbook milestones offer clean, unconditional stat boosts. The Perfect Opal Scale provides plus 25 to all elemental characteristics. The Perfect Amethyst Scale delivers plus 40 Wisdom. These are strong, reliable choices for any build.

Cracked Scales dropped by dungeon keepers are more volatile. They offer higher individual stat values but introduce negative trade-offs that require thoughtful build planning. The Cracked Emerald Scale’s plus 80 Vitality minus 5 Critical Hits trade-off, for example, fundamentally changes how a critical-hit-dependent class might approach gearing.

Because these items do not transfer to the classic server at season’s end, they encourage bold and experimental playstyles that might not be viable in a long-term classic environment.

Character Slots, Houses, and Paddocks

Seasonal servers follow the same slot rules as classic servers, with one important exception: you can always create at least one seasonal character even if all your existing slots on the destination server are full. This means no player is locked out of Season 1 participation due to their existing character roster.

No Private Paddocks or Houses This Season

Given the roughly three-month window of Season 1, private paddocks and houses are not available on seasonal servers. Wild mounts can still be captured and kept in public paddocks for breeding, though the timeline is admittedly tight. A dedicated breeding-focused update is planned for later in the year, which influenced the decision to keep things simple on the mount and housing side for now. Houses are also excluded to prevent the seasonal server from being used to generate housing instances in a way that could cause problems at merger time.

What Happens When the Season Ends

Mergers Managed Carefully

As the season progresses, seasonal servers within the same destination group will be merged together whenever population levels make it sensible. At the close of the season, all remaining seasonal servers in a destination group merge into the corresponding classic server. The process preserves banks, professions, account quests, TTG cards, shared items, achievements, and contacts. Marketplace listings on seasonal servers are cleared before the merger to prevent pricing conflicts and unintended economic effects.

Your Seasonal Set Goes Everywhere

One exception to the rule of seasonal items not transferring is the ceremonial participation set. These cosmetic items are account-bound and persist beyond the season, carrying with them the memory of your Season 1 adventure. They are exclusive to Season 1 and will never be available again once the season closes.
