What to Expect from the PlayStation State of Play January 2024

PlayStation has teased a significant line-up for this State of Play. With an extended runtime of over 40 minutes, expect more than 15 titles, including extended gameplay of Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin. The event also promises a fresh look at other games slated for release on PS5 and PS VR2 in 2024 and beyond.

Intriguing possibilities abound. Rumors surrounding Death Stranding 2 are circulating, with Hideo Kojima’s involvement adding excitement to the event. Considering the involvement of talented minds in gaming, other popular titles like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Helldivers 2, Skull and Bones, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Destiny 2: The Final Shape, Black Myth: Wukong, Final Fantasy 16 DLC, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Silent Hill 2, Star Wars: Outlaws, The Plucky Squire, and potential surprises with first-party titles like Marvel’s Wolverine await. A sneak peek at the future of Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us, Horizon, Ratchet & Clank, or even God of War is possible, although less likely given the schedule of these games.

Beyond the potential game reveals, the event is likely to showcase exciting content updates, DLC, or other announcements related to upcoming titles. Previous State of Play events provide a glimpse into the kinds of revelations viewers can expect, with a blend of gameplay trailers, character previews, and plot details being a regular feature.
