Lack of space is a big issue for many players in Diablo 4. In Season 7, Blizzard tackles this point of criticism and reworks at least one item group that clogs up your compartments. Buy Diablo 4 Gold to enhance your gameplay experience, allowing you to focus more on the action and less on inventory management. With these improvements, your storage space will be more manageable, making it easier to enjoy the game without constantly having to sort through your loot.
What items are we talking about? For Season 7, Blizzard is revising the compasses for the Hell Hordes. Currently, they are not stackable and lie next to each other in chest compartments and in the inventory. That takes up a lot of space when you’ve collected some.
Why do you collect them? With the compasses, you “open” the Hell Horde activity in the endgame of Diablo 4, so they work similarly to seals for nightmare dungeons. While you could craft them yourself in Season 5, you can now only get them as a drop. This will apparently remain the case for the time being, but the drop rates will also be revised.
On Reddit, players regularly complain about the lack of chest slots. SpareTheRod1976 writes in a post on November 21: “Please, please! Give us more chest slots. For heaven’s sake, make [the compasses] either stackable by wave count and/or craftable, just like it was in the previous season.”
Compasses stack from Season 7 onwards
What will be changed in the items? In the patch notes for the upcoming PTR, Blizzard explains what they want to change to the compasses. This includes stacking them from Season 7 onwards. You can also get them from a new box from the “Whispering Tree”.
The specific changes are:
- Compasses now stack depending on their level. The maximum number of stacks is 99.
- The drop rate of Hell’s compasses will be adjusted.
- The drop chance from large Helltide chests is increased.
- The drop chance from Whispering Chests, Small Helltide Chests, Nightmare Dungeons, and the Pit will be reduced.
- From the new “Collection Keys” chest (in German you get 3 Hell Compasses and 3 Seals for Nightmare Dungeons.
The old compasses then become “broken compasses” from which you can craft random compasses.
Does this solve the space problems? The compasses, when collected, occupy a large part of the loot chest. However, there are other items that occupy the places. In a post on Reddit, players remember when the fans were still full of gems and aspects.
You can now pick up gems in fragments as materials, but no longer in your inventory. And aspects have gone directly into the Code of Power when dismantling since Season 4. Now, however, the runes are the “new aspects,” Osteinum writes on Reddit.
It is still unclear whether Blizzard will adjust more items or add chest slots. The PTR starts on Tuesday, December 3. On the public test realm, you can then test the new content that comes with Season 7 in Diablo 4. In the upcoming test, you will get the opportunity to try out seasonal content for the first time. These include the new powers of witch power, which represent the season mechanic: Diablo 4 Powers of Witch Power: How the mechanic works in Season 7
