Getting Started: Accessing the Lost City
To begin your search for Cayde’s Stashes and unlock the Legend Veteran armor set, you’ll need to head to the Lost City social zone within the Pale Heart of the Traveler. However, you must have unlocked the Lost City transmat zone first. This requires progressing through The Final Shape campaign with each of your characters.
Cayde’s Stash 1: Near Ghost
When you spawn into the Lost City, you’ll find yourself near a railing, facing where Ghost stands. Walk past Ghost towards the mailbox kiosk and notice a pile of crates to the left of the tunnel leading to Micah-10’s terminal. Go around the back of these crates to find the first stash.
Cayde’s Stash 2: Eris Morn’s Old Haunt
From the first stash, head down the tunnel next to the crate pile. This leads to Micah-10’s terminal. At the bottom of the stairs, there’s a wall to go around. As you pass it, turn toward the wall to find the second stash. Long-time Destiny players will recognize this spot as the old location where Eris Morn stood inside the Tower.
Cayde’s Stash 3: Near the Fan Switch
After collecting the second stash, backtrack out of the tunnel and look over the Tower area as you leave. To your right, you’ll see a staircase leading up to a platform. In the original Destiny, this platform was home to a switch that activated a fan, allowing players to jump to the roof. While the fan no longer works, the third stash is hidden up on this platform, near where the switch used to be, tucked behind a wall.
Cayde’s Stash 4: Near the Hangar
Facing the railing with the Vanguard war room behind you, the platform with the fan switch is on your right. Just beneath that platform is a passageway that leads to the area where the Speaker of the Traveler’s chamber once stood. Head to the left wall of the area, opposite the path that leads to the Speaker’s room. Look for a corner near the railing, where a Cabal guard is standing. The stash is located near a large cable on the platform in that corner.
Cayde’s Stash 5: In the Speaker’s Chamber
For the final stash, enter the passage opposite the hangar that leads to the Speaker’s chamber. Once inside, turn right and check along the right-side wall to locate the last of Cayde’s stashes.
Unlocking the Legend Veteran Armor Set
Once you’ve collected all five Cayde’s Stashes and obtained each piece of the Legend Veteran armor set, you’ll gain access to a set of universal armor ornaments. These ornaments allow you to transmogrify your current gear to look like the Legend Veteran set, free of charge. To claim them, visit the Special Deliveries kiosk in the Tower. A package containing the universal ornaments will be waiting for you.
Completing the Legend Triumph Seal
Finding all five Cayde’s Stashes not only rewards you with the armor pieces and ornaments but also unlocks the Legend Triumph Seal. Initially, most Triumphs associated with this Seal will be hidden, but after collecting all five stashes, logging out and back in or returning to orbit will reveal the remaining Triumphs.
Completing all of these Triumphs will earn you the Legend title and a special 10th-anniversary emblem. This prestigious reward marks your dedication to Destiny’s decade-long journey.
