Welcome, Arkesians! This guide is designed for players who have reached Item Level 1490 in Lost Ark and are looking to push their characters all the way to the current endgame at 1580.
With various catch-up mechanics and the option to Buy Lost Ark Gold to help manage your honing costs, the journey to becoming a formidable force in Arkesia is more accessible than ever, especially for new or returning adventurers. Let’s delve into the crucial steps to elevate your gameplay and gear.
Gear + Learning Runs
Reaching Item Level 1490 marks a significant milestone, granting you access to pivotal endgame content. Your immediate priority should be assessing your current equipment. If you’re still equipped with Chosen or Legendary quality gear, obtaining a full Relic set is the next essential step. This foundational gear will empower you to tackle more challenging encounters.
To acquire Relic gear, you’ll need to participate in the Valtan and Vykas Legion Raids. Access these raids by pressing “Alt + Q” and navigating to the Legion Raids menu. For your initial attempts, it’s highly recommended to join “learning parties” and review guides beforehand, as these raids feature intricate mechanics. Successfully completing these raids, especially on hard mode, rewards you with bones (Valtan) and wings (Vykas), which are exchanged for Relic gear and provide a boost in gold earnings.
Character Build
Optimizing your character’s build is paramount for efficient progression. Begin by identifying a suitable build for your class, focusing on engravings and combat stats. If you’re utilizing the Super Mokoko Express event, you’ll benefit from temporary free engravings and re-roll options, allowing for flexible experimentation. Ensure your character’s stats are correctly allocated, prioritizing your primary combat stat (e.g., Swiftness, Specialization, Crit) through high-quality accessories.
For those not using the Hyper Express event, meticulous planning for your accessories and engravings is vital. Tools like engraving calculators can assist in strategizing your optimal setup. Acquiring legendary class and combat engraving books will take considerable time and resources, so consistent effort in saving gold and materials is crucial for reaching your desired build configuration.
Tripods
An often-overlooked yet critical aspect of character power is your skill tripods. Maximizing these dramatically enhances your abilities. Your chosen character build should clearly outline which tripods are most beneficial to level up. To track these efficiently, press “K” to open your skill menu, go to the settings, and mark all the tripods you wish to improve.
Once tracked, as you participate in Chaos Dungeons, any amulet containing one of your marked tripods will display a small icon, making them easy to spot. Gather these amulets and transfer the desired tripod levels at the Tripod NPC in any major city. This systematic approach ensures you’re constantly upgrading your skills, contributing significantly to your overall damage and utility.
Legion Raids
Beyond Valtan and Vykas, your next significant challenge lies in the Brelshaza Legion Raid, but don’t forget the Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid if you haven’t completed it. Kakul-Saydon is essential for upgrading your Relic gear set to Level 2, providing a necessary power bump.
Brelshaza Normal mode becomes accessible at Item Level 1490 and is where you’ll begin earning materials for your Ancient gear. This raid features six gates, structured with increasing Item Level requirements: Gates 1 and 2 at 1490, Gates 3 and 4 at 1500, and Gates 5 and 6 at 1520. Initially, concentrate on mastering Gates 1 and 2, as they are relatively approachable and provide your first Ancient gear crafting materials. As you hone your new gear, you can gradually progress through the subsequent gates.
Ancient Gear
After successfully completing Brelshaza’s initial gates, you’ll receive a first-time clear chest. This reward contains enough Phantom Intentions to craft your very first piece of Ancient gear. It’s crucial to transfer the honing levels from your existing Relic gear to your newly crafted Ancient pieces to preserve your progression.
Your primary objective now is to complete your full Ancient gear set and then hone every piece to +15. This comprehensive honing process will elevate your Item Level to 1540. Achieving 1540 is a major breakpoint, unlocking advanced content such as Brelshaza Hard Mode (Gates 1-2), the Kayangel Abyss Dungeon for your Level 3 gear set, and the challenging Hanumatan Guardian Raid.
Skill Points
For new or returning players navigating the Item Level 1490 to 1540 range, dedicating time to horizontal content is incredibly beneficial, particularly for acquiring skill points. Skill point potions provide a permanent and substantial power increase for all your characters.
You can track all available skill point potions by pressing “Alt + D” and searching for “skill point.” This will display a comprehensive list of sources. Focus on collecting various collectibles like Giants’ Hearts, Omnium Stars, and Island Souls, which are excellent starting points for farming these invaluable potions. Integrating these activities into your routine will significantly enhance your combat capabilities for future challenges.
Bracelets
Upon reaching Item Level 1490, a new accessory slot becomes available: the Bracelet. Bracelets offer a potent avenue for boosting your character’s statistics and overall performance. When searching for or re-rolling a bracelet, prioritize those with your main combat stat (Swiftness, Specialization, or Crit), ideally alongside other beneficial engravings or effects.
Relic quality bracelets can roll stats up to 100, so aim for values as close to this maximum as possible for optimal impact. You can farm Relic bracelets from several sources, including the Caliligos Guardian Raid, your daily 1490 Chaos Dungeons, and the Brelshaza Legion Raid. Consistently pursuing high-quality bracelets will provide a noticeable boost to your character’s power.
Item Level 1540 to 1580
Once you’ve acquired your full Ancient gear set and honed it to +15, pushing your Item Level from 1540 to 1580 is the final stretch to current endgame. This journey involves honing your Ancient gear further, specifically to +19 on each piece. While material accumulation can be time-consuming, events like the Super Mokoko Express can significantly accelerate this process.
New sources of honing materials become available at this stage. The Hanumatan Guardian Raid is an excellent weekly activity, generously dropping Marvelous Honor Leapstones. Additionally, you unlock Kayangel Normal mode, a 4-person Abyss Dungeon that is relatively straightforward to learn and farm. Kayangel provides crucial materials for upgrading your gear to the Level 3 Relic set, which builds upon your existing Level 2 set from Kakul-Saydon.
At 1540, Brelshaza Hard Mode Gates 1 and 2 also open up. While not strictly required for Item Level progression, they offer more gold and a chance at Ancient bracelets, making them worthwhile to learn. The later gates of Brelshaza Hard Mode unlock at 1550 (Gates 3-4) and 1560 (Gates 5-6), offering further rewards and challenges. This final push to 1580 is resource-intensive, so focusing on one main character for honing is advisable. Upon reaching 1580, you’ll conquer the current endgame and unlock Kayangel Hard Mode, ready for the most demanding content Lost Ark has to offer.
