Persona 3 Reload Guide: How to Choose the Best Personas
The Best Personas to Equip in Persona 3 Reload
Persona 3 Reload offers a vast array of Personas, each with unique abilities. Choosing the right ones is crucial for success in battle and completing quests. This guide highlights top Personas, providing insights into their strengths and weaknesses to help you build an effective team.
Orpheus Telos (Fool)
Orpheus Telos, a powerful fusion Persona, is arguably the strongest available in Persona 3 Reload. It’s a variation of the player’s starting Persona, Orpheus, with the combined powers of six high-level Personas. A key factor in obtaining this Persona is completing all Social Links to Rank 10, granting access to the Velvet Room and the Colorless Mask required for fusion. Unlocking this Persona at Level 91 requires a specific fusion formula. This makes this Persona a late-game powerhouse, capable of restoring significant HP and SP after battle. It’s a reward for diligent Social Link progression.
Satanael
Satanael stands out as one of the most powerful and convenient Personas in the game. Boasting complete immunity to elemental damage, along with Bless damage resistance and dark damage-based healing, it’s extremely effective in combat. A notable advantage is its summon cost-effectiveness – summonable at any level without expenditure. This makes it a valuable asset even early in the game, significantly reducing the difficulty of challenging encounters.
Messiah
Messiah, a manifestation of your character’s heroic role, is a crucial support Persona, especially during the late game. It’s a fusion of your initial Persona, Orpheus, with Thanatos. Messiah excels in support roles due to abilities like healing party members and replenishing SP. While Thanatos provides strong offensive capabilities, Messiah complements this by ensuring the party maintains its overall vitality. Its integration strengthens the team’s endurance in challenging boss battles.
Lucifer
Lucifer, a Judgement Arcana Persona, shines as a high-damage dealer. This Persona, unlockable at Level 89, boasts significant Strength and Magic, enabling it to inflict a variety of elemental damage, including Almighty, Slash, Fire, Wind, and even Ice. Its diverse offensive options, combined with its ability to weaken enemies (Debilitate), making it a formidable combat Persona. The combination of versatile damage types and enemy debuffing abilities makes Lucifer a reliable choice for various battles. It is obtained by fusing several other Personas.
Thanatos
Thanatos, despite its Dark, Slash, and Almighty damage capabilities, truly stands out for its unique skills. Its signature abilities include Mamudoon (high chance of instant kill on all foes), Ghastly Wail (guaranteed instant kill on fearful foes), and Enduring Soul (restores all HP when killed in battle). Further enhancing its value, Thanatos boasts resistances to Fire, Ice, Wind, and Electricity damage, while repelling Dark damage. While susceptible to Light damage, this robust defensive profile, combined with potent offensive skills, positions Thanatos as a strong offensive and defensive Persona.
