Good times for tanks in World of Warcraft. Their damage will be massively increased, making them similar to DPS characters.
Patch 11.1 is shaping up to be a game-changer! Although the lore content was already a “release candidate,” Blizzard is making significant adjustments once again. Tanks can rejoice as they receive massive reinforcements, while mobs take a hit with reduced health points. If you want to stay ahead of the competition and gear up faster, Buy WOW Gold now to power through the latest content with ease!
What has been changed?
In what is believed to be the final PTR update of patch 11.1, Blizzard has tweaked the balance once again and, above all, given some gifts to the different tank specializations. The most important changes for all tanks are:
- Blood Death Knights deal 20% more damage with all abilities.
- Vengeance Demon Hunters deal 20% more damage with all abilities.
- Guardian Druids deal 20% more damage with all abilities.
- Brewmaster Monks now deal 15% more damage with all abilities.
- Protection Paladins now deal 15% more damage with all abilities.
- Protection Warriors now deal 20% more damage with all abilities.
In addition, all enemies in “Mythic” and “Mythic+” dungeons will be attacked at the same time. In all dungeons of this type, the health points of all enemies will be reduced by 10%. In addition, the health points of various summoned creatures (“adds”) in boss fights have also been reduced.
Basically, all battles should now be a little faster so that the timers of the dungeons are easier to meet.
Why is Blizzard buffing tanks so much?
Tanks also like to see big damage numbers. It is now often the case that tanks can keep up with DPS characters in dungeons and raids. On the PTR of patch 11.1, however, this was no longer the case for the most part and the performance of tanks dropped significantly. To correct this, all tank classes get a massive bonus to their damage dealt. This not only helps to better hold the aggro, but also helps the whole group to defeat the enemies faster.
It will take a few more days until the patch is live. But you can use the time. Because there is some content and achievements that can soon no longer be earned. Therefore, you should complete these 3 tasks before it’s too late!
